Carlington offers a wide range of programs targeted to youth and teens.  From homework clubs, after-school programs and drop-ins to counselling, advocacy, information and referrals.

After School
Our goal is to promote free, healthy lifestyle choices through physical activity, homework assistance, healthy snacks and information related to healthy eating and self care. For students grade 4 to 6.

After the Bell
Homework support and recreation for students in Grades 1-6.
Tree of Life
For children and their mothers who report the experience of woman abuse. Breaks the cycle of violence and helps children and mothers build safety in their environment. Helps children heal from the experience of witnessing violence.

Youth Zone
Anyone between 16 and 30 years old can take advantage of the Youth Zone Resource Centre. The Resource Centre offers free support and services to assist you with your job hunt.
Students Will All Graduate (SWAG)
The SWAG program is for Grade 9 and 10 students and strives to increase graduation rates.

The Spot Drop-In
We provide recreational opportunities (e.g. Wii, foosball, pool) for youth aged 12-16 to socialize in a safe, secure and youth positive environment. Youth learn new skills, receive information and obtain support and referrals. This program is funded in part by the City of Ottawa.

Have That Talk
Ottawa Public Health’s “Have That Talk” mental health video campaign gives parents more information about mental health. The videos aim to give parents the knowledge and resources they need to talk about mental health with their child or teen.
