Casual/supply hours as needed
Under the direction of the Parent-Child Program Director, the Child Care Worker works on an as-needed basis at Carlington programs, to care for young children whose parents are attending a Carlington program. Duties include but are not limited to setting up the environment with age appropriate activities, administrative functions related to the program, preparing and serving snacks, maintaining a safe, secure environment, modeling appropriate child guidance techniques, providing direct supervision to the children.
- Minimum of one year’s full-time experience working with children ages 0 – 6
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Fluency in English mandatory
- First Aid Training
- CPR Training (minimum child and infant)
- WHMIS training
- Baby Sitter Course
- Experience working in a multicultural environment
- Fluency French and/or in a third language relevant to our client population
- Ability to work some evenings and weekends.
Salary: $15.04 per hour + 4% vacation pay
